The budget friendly phone from Vivo with gaming performance IQOO7

iQoo Z5 has the major improvements from its predecessor iQooZ3. The AMOLED display and other features are the upgrades in the phone. The phone is available in 2 variants, the basic one is of 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage which is priced at Rs.23,990. The higher variant is of 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage which is priced at Rs.26,990. The phone is available in 3 colour variants, white, blue, and white rainbow colour.

Built-in:

The iQooZ5 is set up of the z3 in the terms of built in. The back panel is made up of frosted texture which is an amazing look. The camera module is increased than the previous phone. the camera module of the phone has curved corners. The back panel and frame of the phone are made up of plastic, even though the phone is made up of plastic it looks solid and amazing in the look and while holding too.

The thickness of the phone was about 8.5mm and also the phone is not heavy as we look, the phone weighs about 197g. The display is 6.67inch full HD+ LCD and we have the camera punch-hole camera on the top of the display. The camera module has a major bump on the backside of the phone.

On the right side of the phone, we have the power button, and the volume rocker is placed just right above the power button. The placement of these buttons was amazing to easily reach even while holding in one hand. On the top of the phone, we have the 3.5mm audio jack and we have the secondary mic on the top of the phone. On the bottom of the phone, we have the speaker grill, USB Type-C port and a sim try the slot on the bottom of the phone.

Software specifications:

The phone runs on Qualcomm’s snapdragon 778G processor the clock speed of the processor is about 2.4Hhz which is lower than the iQooZ3 clock speed. The phone has the LPDDR4 8GB or 12GB RAM and also internal storage 128GB and 256GB 3.1UFS storage. The phone has the communication of 5G and dual-band Wi-Fi-ac, Bluetooth 5.2, and also has six satellite navigation. The phone has a dual sim option and micro-SD slot. The phone has a huge 5,000mAh battery and the phone is provided with an amazing 44W charger.

The phone runs on the Fun touch OS 12 which is based on Android 11. The display has an amazing 120Hz refresh rate display. The feel of the 120Hz refresh rate was amazing in this phone.

Performance:

The LCD was amazing with the touch sample rate. Also, the brightness of the phone was amazing even we can use the phone even in the bright sunlight. The 6.67inch display has a 20:9 aspect ratio. The phone is capable of HDR 10. The phone has stereo speakers which is an amazing thing a phone can get. Streaming videos and also watching videos on the OTT platforms was amazing. Stereo speakers have given us the best experience we can get from a phone.

The disturbing part of the phone is it easily catches smudges. The phone comes with a pre-applied screen guard. The pre-applied screen guard was stickier which made it difficult while playing games because of the sticky nature. Also, the glass is hard to clean the smudges. Fingerprint smudges we caught easily on the screen.

The processor has shown a disappointing result on the benchmark score, the phone has got the score in AnTuTu was 5,66,151 points. The gaming performance on this phone was pretty good. BGMI, COD, Asphalt-9 ran smoothly. All of the games ran smoothly even it has set to the highest graphics rate and also the high frame rate. Even there were no heating issues even while I have played 30 min of gaming. The software has the Ultra gaming mode for the best performance of the phone. The phone also has the 4D game vibration mode as per my review it doesn’t work well.

The phone has an amazing 5000mAh battery which lasts one and half-day easily with regular usage of the phone. On the HD video loop test, the phone has sustained almost 21 hours which was the good run time that a phone can have. The phone has been patched with the big 44W charger which charges the phone in just 1hour. The good point about this phone is, it charges faster and also it lasts for a long time.

The processor doesn’t seem to be up to the mark.

Camera:

The iQoo Z5 has a 64-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The selfie camera of the phone is 16-megapixel. The camera app interface is purely a vivo one. All the options and other things we can see same in the Vivo phones.

Daylight photography in the main camera was amazing with the good details and colours are a bit saturated more than they appear. If we zoom the photo has low details in it. Close-up shots were better not the best, I have found some detail issues in it. the details were not so finely captured there were most blurry elements in it. The images were over-sharpened.

Ultra-wide:

The dynamic shots taken in the phone have the details missing at the edges of the picture. Also, the dynamic range of the capturing was good.

Low-light:

The low light captures in the phone were not great. The photos taken in the low light conditions are blurry and a lot of texture disturbs the image. Also enabling the night mode doesn’t bring any changes in the details of the images and also the colour of the shadows didn’t change.

Video:

The main camera can record the videos at 4K 30fps and the front-facing camera can record the videos at 10080P and 30fps. The main camera video has a steady frame rate and also stabilization is present for the video. The shimmer was ably visible in the footage of the main camera video. The 4K video footage was jittery as we saw.

Overall, the camera quality was average, not better also. It is just sufficient for a normal usage person. If you need good captures, this phone is not suggested for that thing.
